ASCII/edit is Shareware—which means you may freely use and evaluate it for up to 30 days, but if you like to use it longer, please pay the Shareware fee and register your copy. The Shareware fee is—at your choice—:

10 Euros or 12 US-Dollars

Step 1Pay the Shareware fee.

You can pay online via the PayPal system, an international online payment service owned by eBay. The buttons on the right will direct you to a page on the PayPal server from where you can make the payment.

  • If you don’t have a PayPal account yet, you can easily get one for free by filling out an online registration form, where you’ll enter your credit card or bank account information. PayPal will then charge either your credit card or bank account.
  • If you already have a PayPal account, you’ll be asked for your PayPal password.

Your private information is only shared with PayPal, not with me. Communication with the PayPal server is encrypted using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

Step 2Check your e-mail.

Once I received your payment, I will send you an e-mail with a user name and registration code. The code only works with this user name. If you want to register your copy for a name different from your PayPal name, please send me an e-mail after paying.

Step 3Enter the registration code.

Open ASCII/edit, choose “Enter Registration Code” from the ASCII/edit menu, and copy the name and registration code from the e-mail to the corresponding fields.

After clicking “Register”, your name will appear in the “About ASCII/edit” window.

If you have questions about registering, please send me an e-mail.
